I know I have been SO off blogging the past few weeks, but this week I wanted to start with an event I was able to photograph for the Calhoun County Library. I was extremely involved with the library in high school and was able to develop amazing relationships with the staff as I volunteered. When the director, Kristen, asked me to come out and photograph an event in which kids would receive bikes as a reward for summer reading this year, I pushed around my schedule in excitement. I absolutely LOVE reading, and I am so thankful that the county has such an amazing team on staff at the library that pushes the kids toward reading more.
Many local business and organizations donated two bikes for every age group, and I know the parents, kids, and the library were so thankful for their generosity. Here are a few photos of the event and the kids receiving their bikes! Special thanks to the Calhoun County Library for asking me to photograph this exciting event and to the sponsors for providing this kids with a great way to get outside and play!

These bikes were great!

All these excited faces and smiles!
The library staff and teen volunteers were SO helpful to me by keeping the kids back to make sure I got the images I needed. Such a great team of dedicated people!

Little cute winners!

After the winners received their bikes, Safe Kids came by to make sure they all had helmets while they were riding.

Happy Tuesday! Go read a book or ride a bike today! OR BOTH!
